5:35 pm: Only a couple of hours to wait for the rematch!
Welcome to Game Two! We are waiting for the teams to take the ice.
Big Crowd (for Bottineau) on hand.
The teams are returning to the ice as we get ready to start the first
period of Game Two.
And here we go, starting the game the jacks take the puck.
An injury to Mcc goalie. Appears to be in his leg, the trainers are
tended it now.
And he is back up as we drop the puck which is quickly taken by the
Jacks defense.
Bottineau just barely misses the top of the net, as icing is called
on Monroe, which brings the puck into the jacks end
JACKS GOAL!!! scored by number23, assisted by 21.
Monroe rallies two quick shots put both are saved, and the jacks pick
the puck up and shoot on monroe, which is blocked and the puck is shot
out of the jacks zone by Monroe, who shoot it on the jacks' net put
they are denied by the msu goalie.
The Jacks' come in offsides and it will be taken deep into Monroe's
attacking zone, MCC gets a quick shot off but it is blocked. Both teams
fighting for control now, as the Jacks' yet again take the puck offsides.
14:30 left in the first period and we are in the Jacks' offensive
zone as th e Jacks take the puck in offside.
MCC's number 8 takes a two minute interference penalty giving the
jacks a one man advantage. The MCC goalie freezes the puck and the
jacks pick it uo right after the face off. MCC clears the zone and
MSUB brings it up the ice for a quick shot on goal, however they once
again come in offsides.
MCC ices the puck for the last time as they see their penalty expire
and we return to five aside hockey with 11:21 left in the first period.
MSUB takes their first penalty, with number 21 getting a two minute
minor for interference.
MSUB takes another penalty to number 19 for holding, giving the Tribunes
a 5-3 advantage
Jacks' number 21 returns to the ice making it 5-4, MCC takes a huge
shot , but is stopped by the MSUB goalie.
Number 19 returns to the ice making it 5-5 with 745 left in the 1st
period.
\MCC takes a penalty by number 26 who gets two minutes for boarding.
which gives the Jacks' a chance to put one in the net.
The jacks carry it up the ice and get two very close shots, both of
which are blocked byt the MCC goalie.
MCC takes another minor penalty by number 11 who gets two minutes
for tripping, giving the jacks a two man advantage late in the first
period.
The game is 5-4 with the puck deep in the Jacks' offensive zone, and
at 416 we see MCC return to full strength to get a chance to tie it
up.
MSUB's number 75 gets a clear break away but is stopped by the goalie
from monroe, the Monroe takes the puck for a shot on net, and the Jacks
quickly ice the puck bringing the puck into their defensive end.
MCC's 21 takes two minute penalty for tripping with 242 to go in the
1st period.
A fight in front of the net results in three penalties for the jacks
and two for the tribunes, making it 4-4, the Jacks' getting penalties
are 10, 75, 18, and for the tribunes numbers 5, and 22.
MCC GOAL with 42 second left in the game.
And the Period ends in a 1-1 tie, with the saves for MCC 12, and for
MSUB 8.
